Both systems have specific advantages. However, a roller-shutter or fabric cover will usually be harder to clean and dirt will still end up in the pool water.
A permanent structure is also safer for children than a swimming pool protection consisting of a rolled-out fabric cover.
The energy-saving effect of such a roller-shutter or fabric cover is also minimal. However, the combination of both systems is optimal. A pool enclosure will in fact automatically heat up the indoor temperature and the pool water due to the greenhouse effect, and a shutter under the cover would enhance this effect even more.
A CoverSwim swimming pool enclosure or patio cover is designed in collaboration with a professional engineering and design agency precisely to ensure maximum rigidity.
The design features three angles and straight side uprights to ensure that lateral forces are optimally distributed. In addition, each element is secured separately with underground stainless-steel posts fastened with chemically anchored metal screws. No fragile plastic screws, but sturdy metal bolts.
The profiles will not bend or break in strong winds either. These are made from a particularly strong aluminium alloy that is up to three times heavier than most other profiles on the market. What’s more, during the production process, they are not bent to ensure the tensile strength remains the highest possible.
Finally, the sheets we use for the roof are sufficiently flexible, while offering extremely high impact resistance to withstand even hailstorms. We are so sure of the quality and durability of our parts that we extend a 10-year warranty on the profiles, coatings and roof sheeting and 2 years on locks and guides.
The main advantage of CoverSwim enclosures is that we integrate the guiding systems into the upper profiles. We therefore do not need floor tracks where all kinds of debris can accumulate and cause an obstruction. The integrated wheel bearings glide particularly well and almost silently. They are also shielded by nylon bristles that stop dirt and water before they reach the guides.
However, additional guide rails may be envisaged for larger structures. They are equipped with soft Teflon wheels with a large diameter that roll in a flexible stainless-steel bearing-mounted runway. Again, we deliberately do not opt for PVC and plastic wheels, which wear and crack quickly, but for high-quality and reliable materials that last for years.
The straight profiles and the anchor points on each element further ensure that the cover will always open in a straight line.
One person can open the enclosure manually and without too much effort. Or if you prefer a motorized electrical system, this is also an option.
A CoverSwim swimming pool enclosure or patio cover is extremely easy to clean. You simply wash it with water and mild soap suds or even with a pressure washer as you would the windows of your house.
From time to time, however, it is important to lubricate with oil the bearings of the guiding system. This doesn’t take long either, but it must not be forgotten to ensure smooth operation and long life.
If you prefer to entrust the semi-annual lubrication and cleaning to professionals, you can also take out a maintenance contract with CoverSwim. We keep track of servicing dates and take care of both the lubrication and cleaning. All the parts of the mechanism are also thoroughly checked during each service.
Did you know that you can also entrust us with the maintenance of your spa, sauna and steam room? Quadra Technics, to which CoverSwim belongs, employs a service team for this specialist job.
The components and materials that we use for our swimming pool enclosures and patio covers are of such high quality that we don’t hesitate to offer a 10- year warranty on the profiles, roof sheeting and the powder coating and a 2-year warranty on the locking systems, locks and guides.
And if something goes wrong outside this warranty period? We have our own repair service and sufficient stocks of materials in our own workshop in Temse to repair the damage quickly.
Absolutely, you can of course. Once you’ve made an appointment, you are most welcome to come and see for yourself how much care we put in manufacturing our pool enclosures and patio covers. We have nothing to hide at all. On the contrary! In fact, we are very proud of our products and will be happy to explain their features to you.
We have already installed a great deal of swimming pool enclosures and patio covers in Belgium, the Netherlands and France and probably even in your area. Yet, we prefer to respect the privacy of our customers and therefore won’t just release addresses. After the installation, chances are you will prefer not to have complete strangers come visit your garden, right?
However, we have compiled an extensive photo gallery to help you make decisions. We will bring a bulky photo album when we pay you a free site visit at home to discuss the various options and rates, and you can also find some inspiration on our Facebook page.
